The film opens by following Saba Shafiq, [Mahira Khan], and Irtaza Ghazanfar, [Humayun Saeed], whose close bond paints a picture of love and everyday affection. Saba, a lively and bubbly young woman, is sure they will marry and even shares this dream with her grandmother. Irtaza is patient and endlessly caring, always putting Saba’s happiness first, pampering her and doing his best to keep her smile intact.
After two years apart in the United States, Irtaza meets Saman Shafiq, [Armeena Khan], his cousin, and finds himself drawn to her. Saman is Saba’s elder sister, who was given to her uncle and aunt as a child. When Saman’s foster parents die in a plane crash en route to Germany, Irtaza brings Saman back to Pakistan, hoping to help her heal and rebuild a life. The moment Saba learns there is an elder sister, her initial joy gives way to unease as she discovers that Irtaza and Saman are in love and plan to marry.
As time passes, Irtaza and Saman come to Karachi with their son Maaz. On Maaz’s birthday, Saman plans to celebrate with a birthday cake and flowers for her mother, but tragedy interrupts the scene: Saman is hit by a car right in front of Saba. She dies on the way to the hospital, and in her final moments she whispers to Saba that both Irtaza and Maaz are now Saba’s to claim. The loss unsettles Saba deeply, and Saba’s grandmother—Dadi, [Azra Mansoor]—recommends that Saba consider marrying Irtaza to give Maaz a mother’s love. Yet Saba agrees to explore marriage with someone else, hesitant and wary about the tangled past.
On the wedding day, Irtaza discovers that the man Saba is about to marry is already married and has a son. He confronts Saba, who breaks down and pleads that it is too late for changes since they are already at the ceremony. Nevertheless, Irtaza steps forward, drags her to the heart of the family, and reveals the truth. The relatives are shocked, and they decide that Saba should not marry that man. Then, in a surprising turn, Irtaza declares that he will marry Saba himself, shocking the room and redefining the future for both of them.
Trauma and doubt linger as Saba wrestles with the possibility that she may have caused Saman’s death. Yet as the truth about the past becomes clear, Irtaza comes to see the depth of Saba’s love and takes a decisive stand: he proclaims his continued love for her. In the end, their path forward is rekindled, and Irtaza and Saba find themselves together at last, choosing to build a life united by forgiveness, trust, and shared affection.
