Alita: Battle Angel

In the year 2263, Earth is ravaged by a catastrophic interplanetary conflict often referred to as 'The Fall' or 'The Great War.' This moment marks the beginning of humanity's desperation and sets the stage for a fractured world.

Fast forward 300 years to Iron City, a bustling junkyard city where Dr. Dyson Ido makes a groundbreaking discovery. He finds a disembodied female cyborg that houses an intact human brain, leading him to attach it to a new body and name her Alita.

Upon awakening, Alita grapples with her fragmented memories and the realization of her new identity. She befriends Dr. Chiren and a charming scrap dealer named Hugo, who dreams of escaping to Zalem, the last prosperous city.

Hugo introduces Alita to the brutal sport of Motorball, where cyborgs engage in gladiatorial battles for dominance. This sport becomes central to her journey as she learns about the harsh realities of life in Iron City.

Dr. Chiren, desperate to create champion cyborgs for Motorball, seeks Ido's help, but he refuses, leading her to work with Vector instead. Their partnership highlights the moral complexities surrounding technological manipulation.

Alita discovers Ido's secret as a Hunter-Warrior during a confrontation with three cyborg serial killers led by Grewishka. Utilizing her newfound martial arts skills, known as 'Panzer Kunst,' she defends Ido, marking her transformation into a fighter.

Grewishka, seeking revenge on Alita for thwarting his plans, begins hunting her down. This threat forces Alita to confront her own abilities and the dangers that come with her new life in Iron City.

In a significant turning point, Alita discovers a high-tech Berserker body in a crashed spaceship. Despite the temptation to enhance her combat capabilities, Ido forbids her from using it, revealing his protective instincts towards her.

At the Kansas Bar, Alita and Hugo struggle to gather allies against Grewishka. Their plans take a violent turn when they clash with Zapan, showcasing the dangerous underbelly of their community and the challenges they face.

Grewishka, upgraded and more dangerous than ever, challenges Alita to a decisive duel. Although heavily damaged in their fight, Alita refuses to back down, demonstrating her resilience and determination against formidable odds.

After defeating Grewishka, Ido grants Alita her desire by transplanting her into the superior Berserker body. This transformation reignites her memories, revealing her true mission to confront Nova, the overlord of Zalem.

To win prize money and help Hugo reach Zalem, Alita participates in a perilous Motorball tryout. Despite Ido's warnings about the dangers of the competition, her love for Hugo fuels her determination to succeed.

Chiren's internal conflict culminates in a betrayal against Vector, ultimately allowing Alita to save Hugo. This act of loyalty underscores the complex dynamics of their relationships amid the chaos of Iron City.

As Alita confronts Vector and Grewishka, a desperate chase ensues. Tragically, Alita witnesses Hugo's fall, a heartbreaking moment that reinforces the deep bond forged between them amidst their struggle for survival.

In the aftermath, Alita emerges as a celebrated champion of the Motorball tournament and vows revenge against Zalem. Holding her sword skyward, she declares her intent to confront Nova, fueling a renewed determination within her.
