Ahalya

Indra Sen, a young police officer, arrives at the home of artist Goutam Sadhu to investigate the disappearance of Arjun, who was last seen meeting the artist. He is greeted by Ahalya, Goutam's young wife, whom Indra initially takes to be Goutam's daughter. The case centers on the last known contact with Arjun and the strange world around the artist.

Indra notices an array of lifelike dolls on a mantle and a glass-encased stone placed among them. One doll bears a striking resemblance to Arjun, hinting at the mysterious purpose of the collection. Goutam warns that the stone has magical qualities that allow the holder to become the person they wish to be, and suggests Arjun may have known about it.

Ahalya serves tea and subtly flirts with Indra while Goutam watches, seemingly distracted. She then goes upstairs and leaves her mobile phone on the table, a small detail that hints at underlying tensions in the house.
