Ancient Evil: Scream of the Mummy

During the summer, an ancient Aztec pyramid dedicated to the rain god Tlaloc is uncovered in Mexico. The site yields numerous artifacts and a remarkably well-preserved mummy. These items are shipped to a university in the United States for study and display.

The university prepares the finds for display while the campus remains nearly deserted. Six archaeology students and their professor, Cyphers, stay on to study the discoveries. The arrival sets the stage for unexpected danger.

While preparations are underway, Morris steals the amulet from the mummy's wrist to impress Janine. He passes it to Janine, and they kiss, unaware that Norman is watching from the brush. Norman secretly observes, harboring a crush on Stacey.

In their dorm room, Janine confesses to Stacey that Morris stole the amulet to impress her and admits it was wrong. She explains the situation and worries about the consequences of their actions.

Morris and Janine head to the campus compound to steal beers, while Don, Arlando and Norman confront Morris about the stolen amulet. The confrontation escalates, creating tension and chaos on the campus grounds. The group realizes the stakes are higher than they thought.

It is revealed that Norman is actually a descendant of Aztec priests and he needs the amulet as part of a ritual to the rain god Tlaloc. This revelation reframes the group’s understanding of his motives and the danger they face.

Norman resurrects the mummy and sends it to recover the amulet, setting in motion a deadly pursuit. The ancient guardian awakens with a single purpose and little patience for humans meddling with sacred relics.

The murderous mummy starts killing anyone in its path as the group scrambles to survive. The escalating chaos makes it clear that the ritual could have catastrophic consequences for everyone involved. The students realize they must act quickly to stop the ritual.

Stacey witnesses Scott's car being smashed by the mummy in the parking lot, and soon the mummy kills Scott in front of her. The creature then kidnaps Stacey and carries her away to the museum, where she is bound on a sacrificial table.

Norman, dressed as an Aztec priest, presses the ritual forward by seeking Stacey's blood as the virgin sacrifice. The mummy remains part of the plan, underscoring the danger of completing the ceremony.

Don escapes from the mummy with a knife and learns of Norman's intent to sacrifice Stacey. He resolves to stop the ritual and save Stacey at all costs.

In the sacrificial chamber, Don confronts Norman and the mummy. He shatters the amulet into pieces on the ground and kills Norman and the mummy with his own knife, ending the ritual.

Stacey is freed, and Don helps her escape from the museum. The two walk away as the last surviving pair, having averted the apocalypse and prevented the ritual from claiming more lives.
