Basheer Basheer is a castaway who is rescued at sea by a merchant ship. He has no memory of who he is, and no documents to identify him, remembering only his name, Basheer. The ship’s captain, John Samuel, wishes to help Basheer find his home, so he reaches out to local authorities to lend a hand. Basheer’s case is then placed in the capable hands of Adv. Bhaskara Pillai, a brilliant lawyer known for taking on human-rights and civil-issues cases with calm determination.

[Adv. Bhaskara Pillai], together with his friend, Rajendran the Sub Inspector, the seasoned mentor Adv. Menon, and Menon’s daughter Geetha, who works as Pillai’s junior, begin piecing Basheer’s past together in hopes of uncovering his identity. As they dig deeper, Pillai starts receiving ominous threats from a small, dangerous nexus that includes the corrupt Home Minister and a ruthless businessman named Williams. The attacks come in waves, and the group must stay one step ahead, sometimes aided by a mysterious helper known only as Mr. X.

A crucial turn comes when a doctor lends crucial aid, enabling Basheer to recover memories that reveal a hidden truth. With this new information in hand, Basheer and Pillai push forward, determined to bring the real story to light. Basheer, along with his longtime friend Bapputty Bapputty, is hired to work aboard a ship called Sagar Rani, owned by Williams. Midway through the voyage, they discover that the owners intend to deliberately sink the vessel to collect insurance money, with Basheer and Bapputty as collateral damage. Williams’ men attack Basheer and his companions when they realize the truth is within reach, and Basheer is thrown into the sea, presumed dead. Yet he survives.

Realizing the danger posed by the corrupt scheme, Pillai files a habeas corpus writ against himself to produce Basheer in court, effectively forcing the authorities to confront the conspiracy and reveal the truth. The plot is exposed, and the criminals are arrested. Basheer is reunited with his family and placed under police protection as the case concludes. Later, Pillai meets the Chief Minister Chief Minister, who has been following the case closely, and exposes him as the mysterious Mr. X, the figure who had helped Pillai discreetly remove the dangerous Keshavan from power to secure a safer future. Pillai offers a measured warning to the CM: power can corrupt again if he allows himself to slip back into the same dangerous circles.
