In the humid heart of Colombia’s jungle, a modest village becomes the starting point for two parallel journeys. Herlinda cradles her six‑year‑old daughter Simona, clutching a letter from her husband that hints at desperate finances and a fragile hope for a fresh beginning. Their tentative trek across rough roads is marked by quiet perseverance, the landscape itself a mix of verdant beauty and looming uncertainty that frames every step they take toward an uncertain future.

Meanwhile, the anti‑guerrilla “Destroyer” battalion—comprised of Porras, Venegas, Lloreda and Perlaza—operates deep within the same wilderness, tasked with a rescue mission that places them at the edge of chaos and camaraderie.
