Cliff and Cydney, an American couple, set off on their honeymoon journey aimed at reaching a secluded beach in Hawaii. Excited to document their experience, they embark on the challenging Kalalau trail, which stretches 11.5 miles and takes two days to complete.

As they hike, the couple comes across two hitchhikers, Kale and Cleo. Though Cleo is friendly and shares her wedding pictures, Cliff senses potential danger and opts not to give them a ride, urging Cydney to continue their trek.
