After being found by American soldiers, Tammy and Andy are escorted back to District One and placed in isolation. Here, they learn that Alice carries the Rage virus asymptomatically, and the implications of this revelation begin to unfold.

Overcome with guilt and desperation, Don sneaks into Alice’s quarantine chamber, seeking her forgiveness. This encounter turns tragic as he becomes infected in the process, spiraling into a violent rampage that jeopardizes everyone around him.

Don's rampage brings chaos to District One, blurring the lines between survivors and infected individuals. Under extreme pressure from orders to shoot any potential threat, Sergeant Doyle decides to defy military orders to protect the innocent, escalating the tension.

As the situation becomes increasingly desperate, U.S. Air Force planes begin firebombing District One. This creates a catastrophic scene, as Doyle, Scarlet, Tammy, and Andy make their escape amidst the unfolding disaster.

Doyle’s pilot friend Flynn arrives with news of the impending danger and urges everyone to leave. Despite Flynn's warnings to abandon the civilians, Doyle persists in trying to protect Tammy and Andy, showcasing his dedication amid the chaos.

During their escape attempt in an abandoned vehicle, the group is immobilized by nerve gas. In a desperate bid, Doyle sacrifices himself to start the car, demonstrating heroism but ultimately leading to his downfall.

Scarlet, Tammy, and Andy manage to escape to the London Underground after the chaos in District One. However, the threat remains as Don finds them, leading to another tragic moment when he kills Scarlet and bites Andy.

Tammy, in a moment of desperation, shoots Don, ending his rampage and their immediate danger. Just as they believe they are safe, a chilling radio transmission reveals that the Rage virus has spread to Europe, emerging in the Paris Métro.
