Zombie

A man shoots a bullet into the head of a body wrapped in a sheet, indicating that something sinister has occurred. He instructs an unseen person that 'the boat can leave now,' hinting at an imminent departure and a dark secret.

Days later, an abandoned sailboat appears in New York Harbor. Harbor patrol officers investigate the boat and, to their horror, are attacked by a zombie, leading to a gruesome confrontation and the death of one officer.

Local reporter Peter West is assigned to investigate the mysterious case surrounding the abandoned boat. He meets with Anne, the daughter of the missing boat owner, who hasn't seen her father in three months since he traveled to the Antilles.

Peter and Anne travel to the Dominican Republic, where they meet tourist couple Brian Hull and Susan Barrett. They decide to sail to Matul Island, despite warnings from locals about supernatural occurrences.

On Matul Island, Dr. Menard and his anxious wife Paola face increasing tension. While Paola is terrified of reports of zombie attacks, Menard is determined to stay for his research, ignoring the warnings of their Haitian assistant.

During a scuba dive, Susan is attacked by a shark and subsequently by a mysterious aquatic zombie. She narrowly escapes, leaving the zombie to fight the shark in a terrifying underwater encounter.

While alone, Paola is attacked in her shower by a zombie. In a brutal struggle, she tries to barricade herself but meets a gruesome end when the zombie drags her outside, resulting in a horrifying death.

After their boat is damaged, Peter, Anne, Brian, and Susan signal for help, and Dr. Menard answers their distress call. Menard reveals grim details of the spreading zombie epidemic and informs them of Anne's father's death.

The group ventures to the Menard cottage, where they make a horrifying discovery of Paola's half-eaten body surrounded by zombies. They fight through to escape, but their jeep crashes while trying to flee.

As the team takes a rest in a cemetery, the buried bodies of Spanish Conquistadors rise from the ground. A tense scuffle ensues when Susan is attacked by one of the zombies, leading to her tragic death.

The trio returns to the hospital only to find it under siege from zombies. Dr. Menard, oblivious to the horror, begins barricading the building as the undead begin to breach the doors from all directions.

With zombies attacking from within and outside, Menard is among the first to fall, quickly followed by chaos as the undead take over. The survivors construct makeshift weapons while trying to repel the relentless onslaught.

As fire engulfs the hospital due to exploding Molotov cocktails, Anne, Peter, and Brian make a desperate escape. However, Brian encounters the reanimated Susan and is bitten, sealing his fate.

As dawn breaks, the remaining survivors manage to get a boat back to sea. They face the grim reality of Brian's impending death and the need to keep him locked away as evidence of the horrific events.

In New York City, a harrowing scene unfolds as zombies march across the Brooklyn Bridge, suggesting that the epidemic has spread far beyond the island. The radio announces the outbreak, indicating a larger catastrophe.
