Yogi’s Ark Lark

The animal kingdom gathers in Jellystone Park, chaired by Yogi Bear, to discuss the environment and their future. They decide to leave their homes and search for a legendary, trouble-free 'perfect place' free of pollution and deforestation. They acknowledge the plan may come with its own simple problems, but set out anyway.

Noah Smitty, the Jellystone maintenance man, helps them build a flying ship that resembles Noah's Ark, complete with a propeller on top and retractable wheels. They name the vessel after him, calling it 'Noah's Ark'. The ship is powered by Magilla Gorilla running on a treadmill to generate speed.

With Yogi at the helm, the crew embarks on a world-spanning quest for the perfect place. They travel from Jellystone Park to distant landscapes, chasing an ideal home as they encounter comical setbacks along the way. The concept of 'perfect' remains elusive but enticing.

They drive down a highway into the ocean and end up stranded on the back of a sleeping Moby Dick. Huckleberry Hound is sent ashore to wake the whale, triggering a chaotic detour in their voyage. The bizarre incident sets the tone for the unpredictable journey.

The Ark crew becomes stranded in the Sahara Desert, mistaking it for a beach. The desert sun triggers Yogi to hallucinate that he is Pharaoh Tut and that his friends are his slaves. Boo-Boo and Noah Smitty eventually arrive to restore order.

So-So spots an oasis and declares it the 'perfect place'. The crew settles briefly to make themselves at home, only to notice Lambsy spotting a dragon-like construction vehicle building a new city. They decide to leave the area and continue their search.

The Ark arrives in Antarctic territory, where they attempt to settle in a brand new 'perfect place'. The harsh conditions and the repetition of past misadventures make them reconsider, and they drift again toward new ideas of a utopia.

They wind up in outer space after going too far, proclaiming space a new 'perfect place'. Yet Earth begins ejecting missiles and satellites into space, complicating their plans and highlighting the fragility of pursuing perfection.

Back on Earth, morale among the animals sinks and petty conflicts erupt aboard the Ark. Huck dumps water, Dum Dum retaliates with water, Quick Draw McGraw mocks Snagglepuss, Peter Potamus teases Magilla, and Lippy the Lion tires of Hardy Har Har's complaining. The turmoil signals that the dream of a flawless place is slipping away.

A typhoon approaches, threatening the voyage and forcing a struggle for survival. The crew ropes and saves each other during the storm, with Dum Dum stabilizing Huck and Lippy rescuing Hardy. The typhoon finally deposits them on a mountaintop, where they briefly believe they’ve found a near-miss paradise.

From the mountaintop they spot deforestation nearby, shattering the illusion of a perfect place. Yakky Doodle returns with an empty tin can, underscoring the waste and neglect around them. The dream of a pristine refuge dissolves as reality intrudes.

The younger animals—Atom Ant, Augie Doggie, Baba Looey, Benny the Ball, Boo-Boo, Ding-a-Ling Wolf, Lambsy, Pixie and Dixie, Shag Rugg, Touché Turtle, and Yakky Doodle—decide to return home and clean up the messes they meant to escape. They commit to repairing ecosystems and turning Earth into a real, livable place through action. The shift marks a move from fantasy to collective responsibility.

They begin the journey back toward their homes with renewed purpose, determined to make a tangible difference. The story suggests that true 'perfection' is built through ongoing care rather than a mythical location. The ending emphasizes practical environmental stewardship.

In the credits, Wally Gator and Squiddly Diddly clean rivers, Paw and Shag Rugg pick up garbage, and Yogi Bear picks up a discarded hamburger wrapper.
