Little Golden Book Land

Scuffy volunteered because he wanted to prove that even a small tugboat could tackle a gigantic task. When Beamer called for help, Scuffy stepped forward despite the mockery from the bigger vessels, determined to show that size doesn't determine capability. His determination inspired his friends to join him.

Earlier, Beamer reminded the ships that no one is too small to matter, which set the stage for Scuffy's courage.

Scuffy and his friends decided to find a large rock to plug the hole in the breakwater. They traveled together toward Cavetown, gathering materials along the way. Saggy Baggy Elephant led them to a mountaintop where a big round rock was located, which they planned to push down to the breakwater.

Saggy Baggy Elephant offered his coconuts initially to help seal part of the barrier. However, Scuffy explained they needed something sturdier, a rock, to properly block the hole. Saggy Baggy Elephant then led the group toward Cavetown, guiding them along a winding path to find the large rock they needed.

Baby Brown Bear joined the group inside Cavetown Tunnel and used his size and strength to help locate the big round rock perched high on a mountaintop. He led the team to the rock, making the difficult climb possible. His strength proved handy in the team's effort to reach to the necessary materials.

After the team pushed the rock off the mountaintop, it rolled onto the tracks and began rolling downhill toward Harbortown. The massive rock picked up speed as it rolled along the tracks, effectively chasing the friends. It blocked Katy Caboose and Tootle's passage and created a dangerous situation that required quick thinking.

The storm clouds were gathering as they pushed the rock, adding urgency and danger to the moment.

Beamer ordered the cargo ship to intervene as the rock threatened the friends. The cargo ship dropped mattresses from its hold, creating a soft landing field along the tracks. Tootle slammed on the brakes, and the team rode the makeshift cushions as the rock skittered along. Everyone landed safely on the mattresses except Scuffy, who landed back in the water.

After the rock rolled along the tracks and was cushioned by the mattresses, it continued forward and finally landed in the hole in the breakwater. The rock sealed it shut just in time, preventing Harbortown from flooding as the storm continued to batter the coast. This successfully saved the town from disaster.

Scuffy humbly deflected credit to all his friends because he recognized that their courage and cooperation made the rescue possible. He understood that the successful mission relied on teamwork rather than any single individual's efforts. This humility is what made him a worthy hero in Beamer's eyes.

Scuffy had rallied his friends from the beginning, showing he valued their participation.

Shy Little Kitten called everyone's attention to it, symbolizing that their job well done brought everyone together in better days. Another storm was looming, which meant the town faced imminent danger if the hole wasn't repaired. The urgency of the situation prompted Beamer to call the council of ships and eventually led to Scuffy's rescue mission.
