Colonel Lambeth heads west for his health, taking his daughter Rill. Lost in the desert, they are rescued by Pecos and Chito, whom the Colonel hires. The Lambeths soon become entangled in Pecos’s problems: Pecos killed Sawtelle’s brother, and Sawtelle, now head of the vigilantes, is after him. Their meeting sparks a showdown with the bandits.
