Cosimo's life takes a sharp turn as he finds himself in prison due to a failed car theft. It is here that he meets an elderly inmate who introduces him to the idea of a grand heist known as 'Bellini', which had evaded capture for years.

While in prison, Cosimo hatches a plan and persuades his girlfriend Rosalind to find someone who would take the fall for him. He promises her a lucrative reward, setting the stage for the unfolding events outside.

Rosalind teams up with Toto to assemble a quirky crew: Basil, Leon, Riley, and Pero 'Pepe' Mahalovic. Notably, Pepe is a boxer willing to endure prison time in exchange for $16,000, which ignites the group's ambition.

Upon his return from prison, Pepe faces the wrath of Rosalind and the gang for his betrayal. He explains that he used the $16,000 to settle debts, while proposing a way to execute the Bellini heist, seeking to regain their trust.

The group sets their sights on a former flour factory that has been converted into apartments and a jewelry store. They learn about a hidden wall between the apartment and the jewelry safe, creating an opportunity for them.

After a failed initial attempt at the heist, the crew brings in Jerzy, a skilled safecracker who uses a wheelchair. He teaches them how to break into the jewelry safe while they remain cautious of the watchful Detective Babitch.

The group faces new challenges when two maiden aunts and their maid, Carmela, move into the vacant apartment. Leon and Basil devise a scheme to distract Carmela in order to steal her keys, while Pero charms one of the aunts.

A twist of fate provides Cosimo a chance to escape from prison when a guard falls ill. Seizing the opportunity, he dons the guard's uniform and slips away, eager to rejoin his gang.

Back with his crew, Cosimo confronts Pepe and the others over the share of the Bellini haul. Tensions rise as Cosimo accuses Rosalind of disloyalty, pushing the group to the brink of disintegration.

As Rosalind grows despondent and distances herself from the group, Pero unexpectedly finds himself drawn to Carmela. She reveals her aunts will be away, granting them a crucial window of opportunity for the heist.

The narrative takes a dark turn as Cosimo suffers a tragic bus accident, abruptly ending his ambitions and leaving the group to grapple with their loss. Grief ensues, complicating the heist plans as they reflect on their choices.

Riley makes a poor choice by leaving his baby in Rosalind's care before heading to Pero's apartment. This leads to a brutal encounter with individuals from whom he had stolen a camera, resulting in serious injuries.

Leon discovers that Basil has decided to abandon their heist plans, influenced by his feelings for Michelle. Basil's dedication to honesty challenges the group’s resolve as they gear up for the operation.

The group embarks on their heist, only to encounter a series of comedic disasters. They break into the wrong apartment, leaving them with only $1,000 — a stark contrast to their original grand aspirations.

With the feels from their misadventures, Riley proposes they disband, but the others choose to pool their money to pay his wife’s jail fine instead. As the group parts ways, they each reflect on what truly matters in life beyond wealth.
