Vedha recounts Pulli’s early days, warning his younger brother to stay away from crime. A rival gang led by Ravi drags Pulli deeper into the drug trade, entangling family and loyalties. The innocence of Pulli's mathematical skill contrasts with the violence of the underworld.

Pulli and his friend are captured while Ravi is pulled into custody. The boss Sangu orders Ravi to assault Pulli, leaving a permanent scar on Pulli’s hand and tying the fates of families together. The scar becomes a symbol of Vedha’s later challenges.

Vedha questions Vikram whether he should kill Ravi or Sangu; Vikram answers that Sangu is the real culprit and Ravi is merely a weapon. Fear of Vedha’s retaliation haunts Vikram as he tries to protect Simon, only to learn that Simon and Chandra have been shot dead. SP Surendar labels the case a botched encounter and begrudgingly closes the file, while Priya refuses to reveal Vedha’s whereabouts. The unit’s integrity and loyalties unravel as the investigation spirals.

Pulli, now an adult, launders Vedha’s income by investing in the stock market. Chandra returns having stolen the money to start anew, but she comes back because she loves Pulli.

Vedha hands the money back to Cheta and is ordered to kill Chandra, but he asks Vikram whether to respect Cheta or stand with Pulli, risking a gang war. Vikram sides with Pulli, and Vedha realizes Pulli’s innocence complicates the path forward. He urges Vikram to scrutinize Simon and Pulli’s deaths more deeply.

Vikram follows Simon’s informant Kaattai and discovers Kaattai has been killed. The team tracks the killer and Santhanam eliminates the would-be assassin. A clue about a cigar with marijuana stuffed inside points to Ravi as the mastermind behind the police encounter.

Vedha reveals the final story: he had sent Pulli and Chandra to Mumbai, and Ravi’s confession confirms Simon was bribed to eliminate Vedha’s crew. Vikram contemplates whether Simon’s corruption justified his son’s medical needs, revealing the moral cost of his choices. Vedha kills Ravi, and Vikram confronts the unsettling truth of who orchestrated the killings.

Surendhar and the unit arrive, denouncing Vikram for letting Vedha escape, only to be revealed as bribed by Ravi. Vedha reappears, saving Vikram, and a devastating gunfight ensues in which Vikram fires the fatal shot to kill Surendar. The film ends with a tense standoff between Vikram and Vedha, blurring the lines between life and crime and leaving their fates unresolved.
