Sugunan underestimates Bindu's role, seeing her mainly as someone to manage the house. He rarely acknowledges the exhausting tasks she performs, and his lack of appreciation fuels frequent quarrels.

Sugunan remains indifferent to Bindu's family despite her father's efforts to get closer. The cold attitude creates simmering tension at home as the in-laws feel sidelined.

During Rameshan's wedding, the electricity to Bindu's father's house is shut off, fueling confusion and hurt. Bindu reads the situation as a sign of Sugunan's growing indifference, deepening the rift.

On a trip to Kodaikanal with Sugunan's friends and their wives, he restricts Bindu from enjoying ordinary tourist activities. The sense of control makes her feel oppressed, and she ends the trip, returning home with the group.

While booking a hotel room, two men say disrespectful things about Bindu and Anjana. Sugunan defends them by fighting the men, and the trip ends with the group returning home.

Bindu's mother dies and Sugunan's indifferent attitude makes her feel invisible in his life. The lack of support heightens her sense of isolation.

In a fit of rage, Sugunan slaps Bindu. Shaken by the violence, she decides to leave and returns to her own house to live apart from him.

A boy named Sandeep persuades Anjana to go for a drive. The jeep breaks down and thugs try to molest her. Sugunan arrives, fights the attackers, and the police arrive to rescue them.

Following the incident, Sugunan becomes obsessed with protecting Anjana and begins acting erratically. He cuts telephone wires and treats friends with hostility.

Bindu tries to call Anjana, but the phone does not ring. Her father asks her to bring Anjana home, and she discovers Anjana has been absent from school for two weeks.

Sugunan's friends reveal that the incident happened at his house; to avoid trouble, they sign to shade the truth for a few days, but the situation eventually surfaces.

Bindu goes to Sugunan's house with his friends, who confront what they think are Sandeep and the attackers. In the confrontation, Sugunan strikes Anjana with a stick on her head.

The crisis forces Sugunan and Bindu to re-evaluate their relationship. They reconcile and decide to live together with a renewed sense of understanding.
