Tower Heist

Josh Kovacs is introduced as the dedicated manager of The Tower, a luxury apartment complex in New York City. His close-knit team includes a diverse staff who support him in managing the building and its tenants.

Josh witnesses what he thinks is the kidnapping of Arthur Shaw, a wealthy tenant. However, this event turns out to be the FBI's pursuit of Shaw for orchestrating a massive Ponzi scheme, devastating the staff at the Tower.

After learning about Shaw's fraud, Josh reveals the shocking news to his colleagues about the financial losses they incurred. The gravity of the situation deepens when Josh discovers that Lester, one of the staff members, has tried to take his own life in despair.

Determined to confront Shaw for his betrayal, Josh, Charlie, and Enrique visit Shaw's penthouse. Enraged by Shaw's lack of remorse and feigned empathy, Josh vandalizes Shaw's vintage Ferrari, showcasing his anger and frustration.

After being fired along with Charlie and Enrique, Josh meets FBI agent Claire Denham at a bar. During their conversation, she presents the mischievous idea of stealing from Shaw, suggesting he could have hidden cash reserves.

Inspired by Denham's suggestion, Josh assembles a crew that includes Charlie, Enrique, and Mr. Fitzhugh. They also enlist the help of Slide, a childhood friend and petty criminal, to provide them with the necessary heist skills.

Recognizing the need for specialized skills, Josh and his team recruit Odessa, a maid at the Tower, for her locksmithing expertise. Her skills become crucial as they formulate their plan to break into Shaw's apartment.

As the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade approaches, Josh and his crew finalize their plan to infiltrate Shaw's apartment. They strategically arrange for Charlie to be away from the building to give them a clear path for the heist.

During the heist, Slide, driven by greed, attempts to take off with the money after discovering the location of Shaw's hidden safe. His betrayal adds tension as the group struggles to maintain their focus on the mission.

The team uncovers Shaw's secret when they realize that the 'gold' he invested in is cleverly disguised within his vintage Ferrari. Along with it, they find a ledger containing evidence of Shaw's corrupt financial dealings.

As they attempt to escape with the evidence, Agent Denham catches Josh and his associates in the act. This unexpected confrontation escalates their dilemma, leaving the group's fate hanging in the balance.

Just as hope seems lost, Miss Iovenko offers a lifeline by revealing that she has passed her bar exam and will represent Josh. She negotiates with the FBI, presenting Shaw's ledger for leniency on behalf of the group.

Although the authorities impose a minimal two-year sentence on Josh for his involvement in the conspiracy, he remains defiant. His resilience shines through as he is led away to prison, undeterred by the outcome.

In the aftermath, the group takes steps to recover their lost funds by distributing parts from Shaw's Ferrari to the Tower employees. This act symbolizes their victory against their corrupt landlord and a return to justice.

As Josh is led into custody, he breaks into a slow smile, signifying a bittersweet sense of triumph. Although he faces imprisonment, the resolve of his team and the retrieval of their funds provide him with a flicker of hope.
