After being dumped by her boyfriend following graduation, Aura returns to her mother's loft in TriBeCa for the summer. Her aim is to save up money until her friend Frankie completes her degree and can join her in the city.

Upon her return, Aura is welcomed by her mother Siri, a successful photographer, but finds her younger sister Nadine's attitude to be condescending. As Aura settles into her old room, the dynamics of their relationships begin to unfold.
