The Warning

In April 2018, 9-year-old Nico faces relentless bullying by his peers. They force him to steal an inappropriate magazine from a local convenience store, terrorizing him with stories of a murder that took place there a decade earlier.

After stealing the magazine, Nico is caught by the store owner, Héctor. Instead of reporting him to his mother, Héctor allows Nico to buy a video game magazine, shielding him from the repercussions of his actions.

Later, Nico discovers a hidden note within the pages of the video game magazine. The note ominously warns him not to visit the store on his upcoming birthday, April 12, suggesting grave danger awaits.

In response to Nico's fears, his mother approaches the school principal about the bullying situation. However, this leads to further bullying and retaliation against Nico, worsening his predicament.

Fast forward to April 2, 2008, when Jon picks up his friend David, who plans to propose to his girlfriend, Andrea. They stop at the same convenience store for ice, where fate awaits.

While inside the store, David becomes the target of a failed murder attempt, resulting in him falling into a coma. This traumatic event sends Jon into a downward spiral as he stops taking his schizophrenia medication.

As Jon navigates through his troubled mind, he uncovers a pattern of violent incidents that have occurred on April 12 at the convenience store. Each incident is marked by the death of a 10-year-old boy along with others of varying ages.

Jon learns about Ezequiel González, a bank robber whose desperate actions resulted in a series of tragic events at the store in 1913. This connection reveals a haunting cycle tied to the location.

The incidents grow more sinister as Jon discovers that a murder in 1955 and an assassination attempt in 1976 both occurred at the store. These historical tragedies deepen the ominous significance of the place.

As David's family grapples with the decision to remove him from life support on April 12, Jon reveals his chilling theory that Ezequiel has been reincarnated and may claim another victim on that date.

At the hospital, emotions run high as Andrea and David's family prepare to say goodbye. As David's life support is disconnected, Jon rushes to warn a newborn's parents about the impending danger to their child.

Jon desperately warns the parents of a newborn that their son will face danger when he turns ten. His frantic efforts to protect the child showcase his determination to break the cycle of tragedy.

Jon races back to the convenience store where the past and present collide. He realizes he may be the one destined to die and writes down Nico's warning to ensure it reaches the next victim.

In a critical moment, Jon convinces Héctor that a robbery is taking place, pressing him to alert the police. Amidst the chaos, Jon takes control of a gun, heightening the tension in a life-or-death situation.

In 2018, after receiving a warning about the same store, Nico confronts a gunman. Despite the danger, he glimpses Jon's image in a mirror, urging him to run, and miraculously escapes the chaos unharmed.

As Jon is shot by police while witnessing Nico's escape, he learns of Nico's birth shortly after his death. The intertwining of their fates symbolizes the ongoing cycle of life and tragedy at the store.
