Sangraal [Pietro Torrisi] is the son of a fallen king, and his homeland is crushed when the ruthless warlord Nantuk rises to power. As his realm and people are laid waste, Sangraal and the remaining survivors escape in search of a new home, a perilous trek through a world ruled by fear and ancient powers. In the wake of catastrophe, the memories of a lost world haunt him, even as he steels himself for the long road ahead.

Soon after, Sangraal’s group encounters a village under threat, and their defense earns them wary welcome. Belem [Luciano Rossi], the village’s steadfast leader, offers Sangraal a daring prospect: a chance to rule alongside him as they rebuild together. The gesture marks a fragile beginning, a glimmer of hope that a united front could outlast Nantuk’s reach. Yet the danger is far from over; Nantuk, now king in Ator’s stead, has drawn the attention of powers beyond the mortal realm—the Goddess of Fire and Death, whose cult Nantuk leads and whose demands will test Sangraal to his core. The plot thickens as divine forces collide with mortal ambition, and Sangraal must reckon with a fate larger than himself.

Nantuk’s assault returns, and the village once again falls under his iron grip. Tragedy strikes as Sangraal is captured, crucified, and forced to witness the brutal murder of his wife at the hands of the Goddess. The devastation deepens the hero’s resolve, even as despair threads through the lives of those who fight by his side. Belem’s daughter, Ati, and Li Wo Twan, a roaming archer [Hal Yamanouchi], manage to rescue the battered Sangraal, pulling him back from the edge of ruin and into a renewed resolve to press on. The trio’s bond grows as they traverse wild terrain, facing ambush after ambush as they move toward a glimmer of destiny.

Seeking any chance to mend what cannot be undone, Sangraal seeks out Rudak [Massimo Pittarello], a potent wizard who might hold answers beyond the grave. Rudak cautions him against clinging to the dead, reminding him that there are some losses that time cannot restore. Instead, the wizard points toward a sacred shrine—a place said to hold the tools and knowledge needed to confront Nantuk’s looming power. With this new sense of purpose, the unlikely band presses onward, navigating treacherous paths and cunning traps that stand between them and salvation. The journey tests their courage, their trust, and their willingness to sacrifice for a future none of them can yet clearly imagine.

Their search leads them to a hidden shrine that houses something extraordinary: a powerful, magical crossbow capable of tipping the balance in the coming confrontation. Yet triumph is tempered by tragedy, as Ati and Li Wo Twan suffer another brutal ambush—the archer dies, and Ati is dragged away by Nantuk’s forces. The loss sharpens Sangraal’s focus, turning his longing for vengeance into a single, steel-clad purpose: to reach Nantuk’s stronghold and end the tyrant’s reign once and for all.

The pursuit drives Sangraal to the heart of Nantuk’s fortress, a place where the Goddess-altar stands as a testament to the powers arrayed against him. He meets Nantuk in a brutal duel, prevailing through a fearless display of skill and will, and he finally defeats the tyrant by driving him through his own dagger. Yet the road to freedom remains unfinished, for Ati remains in peril and the goddesses’ looming presence shadows every step they take. Returning to the late king’s cave, Sangraal finds Ati abandoned and the world once more poised on a knife’s edge. The Goddess reappears, an ominous force laughing at the edge of Sangraal’s blade, until he powers up the magical crossbow and ends her threat with a decisive shot.

With the climactic danger behind them, the story closes on a note of hard-won relief: Sangraal and Ati ride toward freedom, their steps carrying the weight of a world they fought to salvage and a future they hope to rebuild together.
