Revak, an Iberian prince from Penda, is captured when a Carthaginian fleet raids his home and enslaves the surviving men. After a galley crossing he becomes an elephant driver in Carthage, where he could win the favor of powerful women, but his sole aim is bloody revenge. He allies with the Romans, Carthage’s foe, shunning love, seeking vengeance.
