A man is stabbed to death inside the Cave of Horrors at the amusement park. The killer leaves behind a gold-plated dog tag, a note asking the victim to meet them there, and a fragment of Cryotron transistor wire. Reporter Kirioka, Detective Kobayashi, and Captain Onosaki lead the initial investigation as clues start to surface.

The investigation threads lead to the Military-Land Cabaret and its enigmatic owner, Onishi. Authorities suspect that the cabaret hides connections to restricted operations or illicit acts. The case shifts toward a more dangerous network behind the killing.

In a backstory, Onishi, the victim Takashi, Dr. Kajuro Nikki, and foreman Taki are depicted as soldiers tasked with protecting Nikki's top-secret electronic weapon experiments. They also use Nikki to transport stolen gold as part of their assignment. Relations strain when Lance Corporal Tsudo objects to how the gold is handled.
