James Clayton, a talented hacker and MIT student, captures the attention of CIA recruiter Walter Burke. His exceptional programming skills and collaboration on a surveillance project called Spartacus lead to an unexpected recruitment proposal from Burke.

While exploring opportunities, James posts inquiries online about his missing father, Edward Clayton. This personal quest for information plays a significant role in his decision to join the CIA.

James, intrigued by Burke's knowledge of his father, ultimately agrees to enroll in the CIA training program. Despite initial reservations, he is motivated by a desire to learn more about his father's past.

At The Farm, the CIA's rigorous training facility, James and his fellow recruits face a demanding array of physical and psychological tests. This includes spy gadgetry, arm training, and psychological evaluations, all while Burke shows his expertise as a strict and insightful instructor.

James becomes embroiled in a rivalry with fellow recruit Zack, competing for the coveted top position in their class. The competition intensifies as both seek to impress Burke and prove their capabilities.
