Nathan, portrayed by Taylor Lautner, is just an ordinary high school student in Pennsylvania who enjoys spending time with friends and boxing with his father. However, he grapples with intense rage and struggles to define his identity, so he seeks help from his therapist, a shrink played by Sigourney Weaver. Beyond his emotional turmoil, Nathan is also quite skilled in wrestling and kickboxing. When he’s paired with his crush, Karen, played by Lily Collins, for a school project, things start to take a dark turn.
Their project leads them to a disturbing website for missing children, and during their exploration, they come across an alarming resemblance to Nathan himself. This discovery triggers a response from law enforcement in New York City, where the tech personnel on duty, Nickola Shreli, quickly activates a trace on Nathan's webcam, alerting a mysterious figure named Mr. Kozlow, portrayed by Michael Nyqvist.
