Assunta explains the convent's dangers from temptation and begins recounting a dark history, including a child born in sin and the murder of the former Mother Superior, Sister Florence. She notes that Florence's ghost still haunts the convent and calls out the name of her killer.

Assunta's story foreshadows the religious and murderous forces at work: a child born in secret, a deadly history tied to Sister Florence, and a vengeful ghost that may still be guiding events. The retelling plants unease about who is truly in control of the house. The supernatural atmosphere tightens around Cristina and the other sisters.

Under a supernatural influence, Assunta brutally kills Sister Cristina and then collapses. Her death appears to be instantaneous and is discovered shortly afterward, leaving the morgue red with blood. The immediate threat seems to have shifted from Cristina to Assunta herself.

Mother Vincenza finds the bodies of Cristina and Assunta but labels their deaths as accidents, attempting to suppress any scandal. Sister Rosaria challenges this stance, warning that the devil lords over the convent. The claim of accidents sows doubt and foreshadows darker truths to come.

Sister Rosaria bleeds from her mouth when Father Inardo administers communion. Subsequently, she is locked in her room and begins to experience the signs of stigmata. The miraculous visions heighten the sense that hellish forces are active in the convent.

Father Inardo, with the Mother Superior and the other nuns in tow, attempts to purify the convent of evil. The cries of Sister Rosaria accelerate concern, prompting a deeper investigation. The atmosphere of control and fear intensifies the conflict with Mother Vincenza.

The bishop and Father Inardo assign young Father Valerio to investigate the strange deaths and disturbances. He arrives to discover a web of supernatural events beyond ordinary explanations. He quickly clashes with the dictatorial Mother Vincenza, sensing she is hiding something.

Valerio learns that Elisa, Vincenza's illegitimate daughter, has been kept in a hidden room within the convent, her face horribly disfigured. A flashback explains that Elisa's birth triggered a violent history rooted in Florence's actions and a ritualistic past. The revelation reframes the convent's hauntings as a personal family curse.

Elisa, now a teenage girl with mighty powers, is used by Mother Vincenza to eliminate anyone who learns her secret or disobeys. Through sheer thought, Elisa causes many of the convent's deaths and exerts control over the house. Vincenza exploits this power to secure her grip on the order.

Valerio confronts the ruthless Mother Vincenza and learns that she made a pact with the devil. She declares Elisa the daughter of Satan and that she has manipulated the other sisters to maintain control. The revelation confirms Sister Assunta's earlier warnings about demonic influence.

During the climactic confrontation, Vincenza fatally wounds Elisa; Elisa, in turn, revives a corpse to strangle her mother. The duel ends with both women dead and Valerio gravely wounded, underscoring the self-destructive nature of the convent's evil.

With Valerio hospitalized, ecclesiastical authorities uncover the hidden laboratory in the morgue where black magic was practiced. The bishop and a new abbess try to restore order, but an eerie omen remains as a nun's corpse falls from a coffin into the bishop's arms. The supernatural ordeal ends, yet the convent carries the memory of its horrors.
