Set at the close of the 19th century in a secluded lakeside Italian hamlet, the discovery of an ancient stone statue awakens a string of violent crimes. The tight‑knit, superstitious community quickly attributes the murders and misfortunes to a timeless malediction attached to the relic, fueling fear and suspicion throughout the village.
