The Old Guard

In another part of the world, U.S. Marine Nile Freeman suffers a fatal throat injury during an operation in Afghanistan but astonishingly heals without a trace. This event triggers dreams among Andy and her comrades, revealing the existence of a new immortal.

Andy realizes the importance of Nile's existence and makes the decision to rescue her from Afghanistan. She acts quickly to ensure that military personnel do not discover Nile's powers and potential.

Copley presents evidence of the ambush to Steven Merrick, a pharmaceutical executive who seeks to exploit the immortals. This alliance marks the beginning of a dangerous pursuit against Andy and her team.

Andy brings Nile to a safe house in France, introducing her to the rest of the team. There, they share their experiences and highlight the reality of their regenerative powers, revealing their vulnerabilities and past traumas.

The safe house is suddenly attacked by Merrick's operatives, resulting in the capture of Joe and Nicky. During the chaos, Andy discovers that her healing powers have faltered, putting her life at risk for the first time in centuries.
