The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Lindsay and Jenny, two American tourists, are driving through the German countryside when their car unexpectedly breaks down. This marks the beginning of their ill-fated adventure as they become stranded in the woods, far from civilization.

While trying to find help, the two women come across a suspicious-looking truck driver. Opting against accepting his offer for a ride, they decide to continue their search on foot, which leads them deeper into the isolated woods.

As rain begins to pour, Lindsay and Jenny discover a rural country house owned by the notorious Dr. Heiter. Desperate and seeking refuge from the storm, they approach the house, unaware of the horrors that await them.

Dr. Heiter offers the women a drink of water, which they innocently accept. The water is drugged, and after consuming it, they pass out, falling into the doctor's trap.

Lindsay and Jenny wake up in a makeshift medical ward located in the basement of the house. They quickly realize that they are not alone; a kidnapped truck driver is also present, leading them to understand the gravity of their situation.

Dr. Heiter introduces his latest captive, Japanese tourist Katsuro, to Lindsay and Jenny. He elaborates on his twisted surgical ambitions, leading them to fear for their lives as they learn about his horrific plans.

Dr. Heiter explains his objectionable wish to create a 'human centipede' by surgically connecting his three victims. His gruesome explanation reveals his psychopathic nature and the extreme pain they are about to endure.

In a desperate attempt to escape, Lindsay tries to flee the confines of the basement. However, her bid for freedom fails, and Dr. Heiter punishes her by deciding to make her the middle piece of his horrific creation.

The horrific surgery is performed by Dr. Heiter, effectively joining Lindsay, Katsuro, and Jenny in a grotesque manner. Each of the captives is placed in a compromising position, forever altering their fates.

Dr. Heiter begins to train his 'centipede' as if it were a pet, taking pleasure in their suffering. His delight turns to annoyance as the constant screaming from his victims disrupts his peace, especially as Jenny begins to show signs of severe blood poisoning.

Two local detectives, Kranz and Voller, come to investigate the recent disappearances of tourists. Heiter’s plans escalate as he decides to add them to his monstrous creation to replace Jenny, who is on the brink of death.

Attempting to eliminate the detectives, Dr. Heiter tries to drug them but fails. Alarmed, the detectives leave to obtain a search warrant, unaware of the horror that awaits them upon their return.

The victims make a daring crawl up the stairs in a last-ditch escape attempt. Their struggle is met with tragedy as Katsuro attacks Heiter, but their chance for freedom quickly dissipates.

In a moment of despair and self-reflection, Katsuro confesses he deserves his grim fate and takes his own life. His tragic action leaves Lindsay and Jenny more vulnerable than ever.

As the detectives return, they discover the aftermath of Heiter's violence. In a chaotic exchange of gunfire, both detectives and Heiter meet deadly ends, leaving Lindsay and Jenny in a dire and tragic situation.
