Ju-on: The Grudge

The story begins with Kayako Saeki, who is trapped in a loveless marriage with her husband Takeo. Despite her feelings for Peter Kirk, a professor in Tokyo, Kayako feels increasingly despondent about her situation.

Kayako pours her emotions into a diary and sends heartfelt letters to Peter Kirk, expressing her despair and longing for a better life. This correspondence symbolizes her hopes for love and escape from her oppressive reality.

One fateful night, Takeo discovers Kayako's diary, leading to a violent confrontation. In a frenzy of rage and jealousy, he brutally attacks Kayako, illustrating the toxic dynamics of their relationship.
