The Funhouse

Teenager Amy Harper defies her father's strict orders by deciding to go to a traveling fun fair. She is accompanied by her new boyfriend Buzz and her best friend Liz, along with Liz's irresponsible boyfriend Richie.

The group arrives at the carnival, where excitement fills the air. They indulge in smoking marijuana, sneak peeks at a 21-and-over strip show, and heckle fortune teller Madame Zena while exploring bizarre exhibits.

Unbeknownst to the group, Amy's younger brother Joey sneaks out to join them at the fun fair. His arrival sets the stage for the horrors that will soon unfold, adding to the tension of the night.

Richie challenges the group to spend the night in 'The Funhouse', a dark and shadowy ride. Intrigued yet apprehensive, the teenagers carefully sneak back into the fairgrounds to accept the dare.

Inside the funhouse, the group witnesses a shocking scene as a man in a Frankenstein suit strangles Madame Zena to death. The unsettling act is rooted in a financial dispute, plunging the group into panic.

As panic sets in, Richie steals money from the strongbox related to Zena’s fee, betraying the trust of the group. This act escalates the situation and leads to further chaos within the funhouse.

Conrad Straker, the fun fair's barker, discovers Zena's death and wrongly believes his adopted son Gunther is the culprit. His wrath escalates as he lashes out, revealing the violent nature of the carnival.

Gunther's horrifying appearance is revealed, showcasing a deformed face with sharp teeth and glaring ruby-red eyes. This revelation intensifies the fear among the trapped teens as they realize the nature of their predators.

Outside the funhouse, Joey is desperate to find his sister and her friends. However, he is captured by other carnival workers, leaving him unable to alert their parents to the dangers within.

Richie is the first to meet a gruesome fate as he is brutally strangled by Gunther. This shocking event marks the beginning of a horrifying night for the remaining teens.

Following Richie, Liz attempts to seduce Gunther in a desperate bid for survival. Unfortunately, her plan backfires dramatically as Gunther retaliates violently, taking her life.

Amy and Buzz attempt to escape through an exit, but they are confronted by a gun-wielding Conrad. Justifying his aggression, he claims to protect Gunther, leading to a tense face-off.

In the struggle, Buzz manages to stab Conrad, but his victory is short-lived as Gunther brutally attacks him. This leaves Amy alone to face the horrors of the funhouse.

In a heart-stopping climax, Amy confronts Gunther armed with her wit and a crowbar. Their struggle culminates in a shocking moment where Gunther gets caught in the machinery.

As dawn breaks, Amy emerges from the destruction of the funhouse, weary but determined. Haunted by the traumatic events, she walks away from the eerie carnival, symbolizing her survival and resilience.
