The ancient city of Aruk witnesses the ominous entrance of Maax, the high priest of the vengeful god Ar. Accompanied by his acolytes, Maax enters the ziggurat, setting the stage for the unfolding events driven by prophecy and bloodlust.

Inside the ziggurat, Maax confers with three enigmatic witches who reveal a grim prophecy: the yet-to-be-born son of King Zed is destined to end Maax's life. Determined to rewrite fate, Maax pledges to eliminate the unborn prince before he can grow into a man.

King Zed, incensed by Maax's malevolent intentions, storms into the temple accompanied by Seth and soldiers. This confrontation escalates into a fierce argument, culminating in Zed's decision to banish Maax from Aruk, condemning him to the barbaric outlands.

Under the cover of night, a disguised witch infiltrates Zed's palace, unleashing a potion that incapacitates both Zed and his wife, Vanna. In a horrifying ritual, she extracts their unborn child, irrevocably sealing their tragic fate and leaving Zed in despair.

Amidst the chaos of the witch's ritual, a traveler stumbles upon the scene and heroically kills the witch, saving the newborn boy. The traveler names him Dar and vows to raise him as his own, marking the beginning of Dar's extraordinary journey.

As Dar grows into a young man, he discovers his remarkable gift to communicate with animals, signified by a mysterious brand on his palm. This unique ability sets him apart and becomes a central aspect of his identity in the unfolding saga.

Dar's peaceful life is shattered when the Jun barbarians, under Maax's influence, launch a brutal attack on his village. Amidst the chaos, Dar suffers the loss of his faithful dog Todo, igniting a quest for vengeance and self-discovery.

On his quest for vengeance, Dar meets a wise eagle named Sherak and mischievous ferrets Kodo and Podo. Together, they form a formidable bond, aiding Dar in his journey and helping him navigate the perils ahead.

During his adventures, Dar encounters Kiri, a spirited slave girl trapped by Maax's priests. Their fierce exchange ignites a spark of determination within Dar, leading him to vow to free her from the oppressive forces that bind her.
