The Bag Man

Elderly gangster Robert Dragna hires assassin Jack to retrieve a mysterious package and wait for Dragna at a motel. Jack initially perceives this job as straightforward, unaware that it will soon spiral into chaos.

Upon receiving the package, Jack is unexpectedly ambushed by one of Dragna’s henchmen. In a desperate act of self-defense, Jack kills the assailant and hastily conceals the body in his trunk.

Arriving at the motel, Jack meets an array of eccentric characters, including Ned, the wheelchair-bound clerk, and Rivka, a secretive prostitute. Their peculiar behaviors and cryptic interactions set an uneasy tone for Jack's stay.

Curious and undeterred by warnings, Jack chooses room 13, known for its lethal reputation. This decision leads him to a deadly encounter with two men in suits, whom he kills without hesitation.

As Jack rummages through the aftermath of the murders, he discovers FBI badges and a briefcase, intensifying his anxiety about the potential consequences of the package. This newfound information deepens his paranoia regarding Dragna's intentions.

Rivka stumbles upon the dead bodies, igniting a new wave of anxiety for Jack as she questions him about Dragna and the package. Her vague answers only serve to heighten Jack's already fragile mental state.
