The 15:17 to Paris

Spencer Stone and Alek Skarlatos meet Anthony Sadler while being reprimanded in the principal’s office of their private Christian high school. The three quickly bond over their shared experiences of rebellion and their respective single-parent households.

While working at a local smoothie shop, Spencer meets a Marine recruiter who inspires him with stories about the Air Force para-rescue unit. This encounter ignites Spencer's ambition to enlist and pursue a career in military service.

Motivated by the Marine recruiter's words, Spencer commits himself to a rigorous workout routine. Over time, he transforms his physique, preparing for a future in the military.

After months of intense training and preparation, Spencer enlists in the Air Force, aspiring to become a Pararescueman. This marks a significant step in his journey towards military service.

Upon completing basic training, Spencer attempts to qualify for para-rescue school but faces disqualification over an issue with his depth perception. Despite this setback, he chooses other roles within the Air Force.

Alek enlists in the Army and prepares for his deployment to the Middle East. During a Skype call, he shares plans to visit his girlfriend in Germany, prompting the friends to plan a reunion.

Spencer, Alek, and Anthony reunite in Germany during their leaves from military service. Excited to be together, they plan a trip to Amsterdam, anticipating a fun getaway.

The trio boards the 15:17 train to Paris after their adventures in Germany. Their journey takes a dark turn when fellow passenger Mark Moogalian notices a suspicious situation involving a locked toilet.

Chaos erupts when a terrorist armed with an assault rifle emerges from the locked toilet. In a swift move, passenger Damien A. manages to subdue the terrorist momentarily, but not without sustaining injuries.

As the situation escalates, Spencer takes decisive action against the terrorist when his weapon malfunctions. He charges at the assailant, tackling him and disarming him in a desperate attempt to save the passengers.

With Spencer's brave action, Alek, Anthony, and other passengers come together to overpower the terrorist. Their collective bravery turns the tides in a moment of crisis, ensuring the safety of everyone on board.

After the threat is neutralized, Spencer quickly attends to Mark, who has been shot. He acts swiftly to plug the wound and prevent further blood loss until help arrives.

As the police arrive and assess the scene, they discover Spencer has bravely tackled the terrorist. His courageous actions alongside Alek and Anthony lead to them being celebrated as heroes.

In recognition of their extraordinary courage during the terrorist attack, Spencer, Alek, and Anthony are honored by the French Republic at an official ceremony. Spencer receives the prestigious French Legion of Honour for his selflessness.

Mark Moogalian, who demonstrated incredible bravery during the incident, is similarly recognized and awarded the Legion of Honour. This ceremony takes place in a moment of national pride and remembrance for their efforts.
