Christie Dawson is a popular high school chemistry teacher who genuinely cares for her students. After helping Josh Gaines improve his grades, they go out for a burger together, which stirs speculation among other students and some teachers.

Josh Gaines makes a pass at Christie, which she firmly rejects. The moment unsettles Christie, who hopes to move past the incident, but her husband reacts with anger when she tells him.

Christie goes to the principal to report Josh's advances, hoping the matter will be resolved without further trouble. She also reveals the strain it places on her home life, including her husband's anger.

Jenna's testimony helps clear Christie's name, and the school supports her return. Christie is ultimately able to resume her teaching career.
