Station Six-Sahara

Martin heads into the Sahara Desert to work at an American oil pumping station, carrying an empty coffin for a worker killed on the job. He signs a five-year contract as his replacement. The stark, fatal environment foreshadows the dangers to come.

Arriving at the base, Martin meets Kramer, the authoritarian American boss with German roots. The two immediately clash over authority and how the grueling work should be handled. This tense dynamic sets the tone for life at the station.

Martin becomes acquainted with the core crew: Fletcher, a noisy jokester; Macey, an uptight British former major; and Santos, a quiet Spaniard who keeps to his work. Their personalities contrast with the harsh station environment. The group dynamics hint at underlying tensions.

Kramer runs a nightly poker game that becomes the only form of entertainment for the men. He forces them to play, heightening the oppressive atmosphere. The game foreshadows the volatility and jealousies simmering beneath the surface.

One night the poker tension is broken when a car horn sounds and a vehicle smashes into a stack of oil barrels. Catherine, a beautiful young woman, arrives with her seriously injured ex-husband Jimmy, who was trying to kill them both. They seek help at the station amid the chaos.

Jimmy recuperates at the station while Catherine quickly draws the attention of the men. Her presence stirs jealousy and desire among the crew. The dynamics around her begin to destabilize the group.

Kramer visits Catherine's room and they begin an affair. He vows to leave the station and take Catherine with him, fueling his possessive and jealous mood. The relationship intensifies the tension at the base.

One night Kramer finds Catherine's door locked and a man inside the room. The scene implies Catherine is with another man, igniting rumors and further straining trust among the crew. The incident sharpens suspicions and divisions.

Macey, slavishly devoted to Kramer, suggests Fletcher seduced Catherine and has gone missing that night. The rumor deepens paranoia and pits men against each other in the tense environment.

Kramer explodes with anger toward Fletcher, but Martin intervenes and reveals that it was he who spent the night with Catherine. The truth reframes the accusations and shifts blame away from Fletcher.

Catherine continues to visit the recuperating Jimmy, who expresses his love and asks whether the men have made advances. She denies it, but the visits reveal her internal conflict between loyalty to Jimmy and the dangerous lure of Kramer.

During her final visit, Jimmy produces a large hunting knife, heightening the danger in the room. Kramer later enters and finds Catherine dead on Jimmy's bed with a bloody knife wound, and he weeps alone in his room. The violent conclusion marks the tragic end of the entangled relationships.
