Spaceman

Jakub is six months into the space mission, battling loneliness as a mysterious cloud called Chopra lies beyond Jupiter. The Czech mission arrives shortly before a competing South Korean mission. His isolation is magnified by the distance from his wife Lenka, who has started avoiding him.

Lenka's message to leave him is blocked by Commissioner Tuma to protect Jakub's mental state. Jakub remains unaware that she has tried to contact him. The delay strains their fragile relationship.

Jakub discovers a spider-like telepathic creature inside a ship compartment and begins to interact with it. The creature introduces itself as Hanuš and offers to help ease Jakub's loneliness. A new, uncanny ally appears on the journey.

Hanuš dives into Jakub's memories and reveals painful episodes, including Jakub's neglect of Lenka and a miscarriage he wasn't present for. He uses implanted memories to illustrate these wounds. Jakub becomes distressed as the truth of Lenka's pain surfaces.

Disappointed with humanity after the memory reveal, Hanuš leaves the ship and drifts into space. Jakub is left with a renewed sense of isolation and unresolved guilt.
