Snow Fall

The group arrives at the remote Snow Falls cabin to spend New Year's Eve. They intend to stay just overnight, but a sudden winter storm traps them inside for the foreseeable future.

A fierce storm blocks roads and deep snows seal the cabin in. With no immediate chance of rescue, the friends realize they will be stuck there longer than planned.

The power goes out, plunging the cabin into darkness and cold. As heat fades, the sense of isolation inside the wooden walls grows more oppressive.

Eden, studying to be a doctor, urges the group to ration food, bundle up, and avoid sleeping to prevent hypothermia. The extreme conditions trigger creeping paranoia and the first signs of hallucinatory thinking.

The crew becomes convinced that the falling snow is poisoned and that their sickness could spread. Their fear gnaws at them as the cold and isolation intensify their paranoia.

Delirious with cold, Em wanders inside and uses a shard of broken mirror in a desperate bid to 'get the sickness out.' She survives the attempt, but the moment highlights how fragile their grip on reality has become.

Andy starts chopping up the cabin's wooden furniture to make firewood, defying River's warnings about the antiques. A heated argument erupts, and River accidentally kills Andy by striking his head.

With the situation deteriorating, Kit steps outside into the storm to look for help. The decision carries serious risk, but it is their best chance to break the isolation.

While River and Eden prepare hot water, a delirious Em goes out toward the car to check its gasoline. She dies of exposure shortly after leaving the shelter.

Shortly after Kit departs to find help, he dies of exposure in the storm. River and Eden eventually discover his body a short time later.

Back inside, River and Eden face the reality that they may not survive the night. They brace themselves for a long, desperate wait as the cold tightens its grip.

River hallucinates Eden seducing him, then strips down before stepping into a freezing shower. The chilling vision ends with his death in the cold water.

Moments after River's death, the power in the cabin unexpectedly returns, illuminating the room. Eden discovers River's body and realizes how close they were to salvation.

Emergency responders arrive to assist, but Eden remains waiting outside the cabin, haunted by the night’s events. The story closes with her facing what comes next as help finally reaches the scene.
