While working as a struggling scriptwriter, Sher Singh falls in love with Nisha. He visits Swami Trilokand, who warns him that fate will bind him to two women through marriage. The prophecy unsettles Sher and sets up a fate bound conflict.

Nisha's wealthy father arranges her marriage to his friend's son Vicky, a match he believes will secure her future. Sher realizes this will complicate his own life and the two women he may be forced to marry. The arrangement foreshadows the coming clash of loyalties.
