Kishan Singh Rishi Kapoor is a young, hopeful salesman with big dreams about life and a future partner, but he lives under the watchful eye of his domineering father Amrish Puri Bhim Singh who rather abruptly engineers an arranged marriage for him. The bride is Chando Radikaa Sarathkumar, an innocent girl who does not fit the conventional idea of beauty, with a simple, unassuming presence that contrasts with Kishan’s own ambitions.
