In the autumn of 1965, a newlywed couple moves into the Bramford, an elegant yet imposing Manhattan apartment building whose shadowed corridors whisper of forgotten rites and uneasy histories. Rosemary arrives from the plains of Nebraska, eager to support her husband’s artistic ambitions while seeking a sense of belonging in the bustling city. Her husband, Guy, is an aspiring actor whose yearning for success makes the promise of the building’s lofty atmosphere feel like a stepping stone toward his dreams.

The Bramford’s charismatic landlord, Hutch, offers a friendly smile but hints at a lineage of strange occurrences that have long haunted its residents.
