Kim White, Francesca Xuereb, a young woman about to start college, decides to move into a newly rented apartment with her best friend Izzy Davis, Viktoria Vinyarska. As Kim and Ian piece together the clues, Izzy confronts Kim after discovering her paper, and the tension escalates at home. Kim tears open the wall’s hole, and a shriveled, desiccated hand wearing a distinctive ring tumbles out—the same ring worn by the lover Izzy had brought back weeks earlier.
