The Haunted Palace

The story unfolds across two periods: 1765, when Curwen's powers surge and the townspeople confront him, ending in his execution and a curse. Then 1875, when Curwen’s descendants return to Arkham, uncover deformities among residents, encounter the Necronomicon, and attempt to resurrect past horrors.

Arkham is a small Massachusetts town built around a looming palace that overlooks the hills. The palace is the focal point of fear and rumor after a warlock named Curwen is accused of witchcraft. The town’s atmosphere is shaped by superstition and the palace’s ominous presence.
