Roadkill

The group stops at a small countryside shop where Luca tries to palm them a fake medallion and warns it's dangerous. Chuck steals the medallion during the getaway attempt, triggering a hurried retreat. An old woman curses them, warning that the roc will avenge her before she dies.

They drive away, and the old woman’s warning seems to come true as a dense, oppressive fog blankets the road. The travelers become lost and isolated, realizing help is out of reach. Fear and tension mount as the landscape closes in around them.

The group encounters a young boy on the road and Anita leaves the RV to talk with him. The boy runs away and the roc swoops down to snatch Anita, dragging her into the air. Her body is later found dropped in front of the RV with half of her face mauled.

The roc sabotages their escape by damaging a tire. Tommy goes to change it with a road flare, but the roc returns and decapitates him. The remaining group huddles inside the RV, voices raised in fear and desperation.

The survivors reach a secluded house where a wary family, including Drina, offers help and a phone. Luca arrives soon after, forcing the group outside at gunpoint and raising the stakes for everyone’s survival. The tense atmosphere foreshadows the danger inside the house.

Drina takes Kate to retrieve the medallion from the RV, but Kate knocks Drina out and escapes, already wearing the protective medallion. Luca binds the others to wooden posts to lure the roc, while the medallion’s power becomes pivotal when the beast hesitates before approaching.

The roc returns to claim more victims. Luca shoots Hailey in the stomach, killing her, and the remaining group flees into the surrounding forest to escape the beast. Luca presses the chase, increasing the sense of peril for everyone still alive.

The group presses on and finds Drina again. She begs for the medallion, but Kate realizes it protects against the roc and escapes with it, leaving Drina to be killed by the roc. The survivors push deeper into the woods, haunted by what they’ve lost.

They reach a service station where Ryan leaves the RV to call for help. The others distract the roc and manage to harm it with fire, but the tension peaks when Seamus the policeman arrives and ties them up. They overpower him and knock him unconscious, though Joel is carried away by the roc.

Back in the forest, Kate receives a call from Ryan and follows the signal to a roc’s nest filled with her dead friends. Chuck arrives and forces Luca away at gunpoint before Kate takes the gun and sends Chuck back to the RV to escape. She lingers in the nest, mourning as the roc hovers nearby.

The lone survivor, Chuck, reaches a gas station where Luca waits for the medallion. The roc arrives and Chuck ignites spilled gas, blowing up the RV and killing Luca. Miraculously, the roc survives and turns on Chuck in the aftermath, sealing the old woman’s revenge.
