Kate, Kacey Clarke, travels around Ireland in an RV with her ex-boyfriend Ryan, Oliver James her brother Joel, and friends Hailey, Eliza Bennett, Chuck, Diarmuid Noyes, Tommy, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, and Anita, Roisin Murphy. They cruise through the countryside in search of freedom and adventure, but a stop at a sleepy roadside shop changes everything. Luca, Ned Dennehy, tries to swindle them with a flashy medallion that he insists is dangerous and cursed. In a tense moment, Chuck pockets the trinket, and the group makes a quick exit, hoping to leave trouble behind.

As they speed away in the R.V., a fateful collision with an old woman curses them, warning that a mythical bird—the roc—will seek vengeance. The warning feels more real by the minute as a thick fog descends, swallowing the road and their sense of direction. The group presses on, but the road grows eerie and unfamiliar, and a lone boy appears on the pavement. Anita steps out to talk to him, but the encounter doesn’t go as planned—the boy bolts, and the roc suddenly snatches Anita from the air, tearing at her before dropping what’s left of her body in front of the vehicle.

Panic erupts as Ryan keeps the wheels turning, and the group fights to contact help that never arrives. The roc attacks with calculated brutality, puncturing the tires and forcing them to stop. Tommy volunteers to change a tire, armed with a road flare, and as he works, the roc returns with merciless force. The flare’s glow betrays them, and Tommy’s face is mauled and then depredated by the winged creature, which swoops down again and decapitates him. Terror erupts into chaos as the roc closes in on the RV, while the survivors retreat inside, fearful and shaken.

The pursuit drives them to a secluded house where a family, including Drina, offers shelter and a phone. Luca arrives, coercing the group outside at gunpoint. Drina tries to retrieve the medallion from the RV for herself, but Kate, quick on her feet, knocks Drina out and escapes, having already worn the medallion as protection. Luca binds the others to wooden poles, ensuring the roc can pick them off one by one. As the roc lands, Kate frees her companions just long enough for them to see the talon-tipped monster retreat upon recognizing the emblem she wears.

Yet the nightmare isn’t over. Luca shoots Hailey in the stomach, and the group flees into the surrounding forest with Hailey dying in agony. Luca pursues relentlessly, forcing a break back to the RV, where they fearfully reunite with Drina—who begs for the medallion. Kate discovers the truth: the medallion has protective power against the roc. She seizes the talisman and escapes, leaving Drina to a fatal encounter with the creature. The survivors push onward, the road stretching ahead as they come across a service station that might offer a lifeline.

Ryan steps out of the RV to call for help, seeking a moment of reconciliation with Kate, while the others create a distraction. The roc circles, drawn by the chance to claim more prey, but the group manages a desperate stand, using fire to injure the monstrous bird. They retreat into a restroom to regroup, only to be confronted by a human threat: Seamus, a policeman who arrives with intent to detain them in service of the roc. The group overpowers him in a struggle, and Joel is dragged away by the roc as Kate and Chuck slip out, leaving Seamus dead on the ground.

A tense call from Ryan interrupts their grim vigil. Kate answers, only to have the line cut, then later reconnects, hearing Ryan’s ring in the distance. She races through the forest to find Luca’s nest—the roc’s lair—filled with the bodies of her friends. Chuck arrives, gun in hand, and forces Luca away. Kate seizes the weapon and tells Chuck to return to safety, choosing to stay with her fallen comrades in the nest. Ryan’s body lies among them, and the roc moves in for the final, merciless strike that would tear Kate’s face apart.

In a final bid to survive, Chuck, the last man standing, reaches a gas station only to confront Luca once more. The roc arrives as well, and Luca pleads for the medallion. Chuck unleashes a fatal spark, igniting spilled fuel and detonating the RV and Luca in a blazing inferno. The roc survives the blast and closes in on Chuck, completing the old woman’s revenge in a harrowing, shattering ending.
