Rajamanikyam

Following the death of his first wife, Raja Rathnam Pillai marries Muthu Lakshmi so Selvam has a mother figure. Muthu Lakshmi already has a son, whom she names Muthu, which ties the families together. The wedding marks a new chapter for the village and the household in Southern Kerala.

On the wedding night, Muthu realises her son is alive and Rajamanikyam is welcomed into Rathnam's care. He renames the boy Rajamanikyam and raises him with love. Selvam later kills a village child, takes the blame, and leaves the village after a blow on his left eye.

Years later, Raja Rathnam's two grown children, Selvam and Rani, quarrel over the father's wealth. Selvam, aided by his childhood friend Simon Nadar, plots to frame his own father in a murder case. The plot pulls Rathnam into political trouble as he is implicated and arrested.

During transport to prison, riots erupt near the courthouse and a stone injures Rathnam. He dies of a heart attack inside the police van while being taken to prison. The death sends shockwaves through the family and village.

After Rathnam's death, the family lawyer reads his will. All assets are left to Bellary Raja, a cattle dealer from Bellary, who is secretly Rajamanikyam. The revelation unsettles the siblings as they fail to recognize him.

Selvam and Rani attempt to undermine Manikyam's control of the estate. Manikyam uses his adopted brother Raju and a network of allies to stabilize the assets and keep them from falling into the siblings’ hands. The wealth remains securely managed by Manikyam.

In a pivotal moment, Manikyam discloses that he is actually Rajamanikyam, the man they thought was Bellary Raja. The revelation shocks the family and redefines loyalties within the household. He explains the reasons for his protective actions over the estate.

Selvam and his ally Simon stage an attack on Bellary Raja, but the plan is foiled and Bellary is only lightly wounded. The plan exposes the depth of the family feud surrounding the wealth. The incident intensifies the tension between the siblings and Manikyam.

Differences between Selvam and Simon escalate when Selvam is held captive by Perumal, a Tamil moneylender, who demands repayment for his release. Manikyam steps in and pays the required amount to secure Selvam's freedom. He speaks of his hardships and love for his siblings, deepening their emotional connection.

Unable to fulfill his late father's wish to unify the family, Manikyam prepares to leave for Bellary. He reflects on the challenges he has faced and the need to protect his family's future. His departure would signal a pause in the central conflict.

That night, a drunken Selvam comes to Manikyam's house, apologizes for past misdeeds, and pleads for him not to go. Manikyam is deeply moved and hopes for family unity. The moment signals a possible turning point in their relationship.

Varghese, Rathnam's trusted ally, reveals that he was killed years earlier and recounts the deceit surrounding the murder case. The revelation triggers the search for the actual culprit behind Rathnam's death. Manikyam and his associates begin investigating to unmask the mastermind.

The investigation leads to the revelation that the primary conspirator was Simon, not Bellary Raja. The truth shakes the family as they learn who engineered the downfall. The confrontation with Simon becomes inevitable.

Simon and his goons attack again, but Manikyam, Raju, and Varkey intervene to rescue Selvam. A fierce confrontation ensues as they fight to protect the family and assets. The assailants are repelled and order is restored.

Manikyam uses a bull to kill Simon for killing Raja Rathnam and trying to destroy his family. He reconciles with Selvam and returns home with him. In the closing scene, Rajamanikyam, who is half-blind, proclaims that Now I have both eyes, symbolizing unity between Raju and Selvam.
