Siddhant Rai is a wealthy single father who raises three children—Rohit, Rahul, and Rani—inside a home shared with the loyal family butler, BBC. Without a mother in the house, the youngsters are a handful, their mischief so constant that it consistently drives away any teacher or governess Siddhant hires.
Because his demanding job keeps him away, Siddhant arranges for a new governess, much to the dismay of the children. Into this turmoil steps Shekhar and his friend Jadu, who have just pulled off a bank robbery and are dodging the police when Shekhar meets Anna as she heads to work as the Rai children’s new caregiver. Anna is introduced to the kids; at first they resist, but soon they begin to see her as an older sister figure.
After several attempts, Shekhar wins Anna’s heart and, with Siddhant’s blessing, the couple is allowed to marry. Yet the wedding day turns sour when Shekhar is arrested for stealing the wedding rings and for marrying Anna to gain access to Siddhant’s wealth. Devastated, Anna decides to return to the orphanage where she works.
Siddhant meets a sudden end in an accident, and his children are placed under the care of cruel relatives who are only interested in Siddhant’s fortune. Just as a magistrate is about to sign the adoption papers, a striking figure enters the Rai household, claiming to be Rajit Rai, Siddhant’s long-lost brother and the rightful heir. It is, in fact, Shekhar in disguise. The magistrate is convinced, and the papers are put on hold while a hearing date is set.
Initially, the children respond with anger at the return of a thief-turned-guardian. However, [BBC] and Jadu explain that he is the only one who can protect the family’s fortune, and the kids gradually warm to him, nicknaming him “Raju Chacha.”
Anna returns to the house and is furious to see Shekhar back, suspecting he is plotting to rob the family. Another man appears, also claiming to be Rajit Rai, causing further confusion for the relatives. In a tense negotiation, Shekhar proposes a deal: if the relatives prove he is the real Rajit Rai, he will take only 25% of the share. They agree, only to realize too late that Shekhar has outsmarted them—the true Rajit Rai is Gafoor, a fellow conman. The relatives are driven out, and Anna’s feelings begin to soften as she witnesses Shekhar’s protective side.
Together, they look after Rohit, Rahul and Rani, while keeping Jadu and the household safe. But the threat resurfaces when the relatives return and expose Shekhar as a fraud, sending him back to prison. The children uncover the painful truth that their father was murdered by those relatives for the fortune. In a dramatic turn, Shekhar escapes from prison, eliminates the relay of danger, and defeats the antagonists to save the family, BBC, Jadu, and Anna. He and Anna marry again and continue to care for the trio, all while continuing their search for the real Raju Chacha.
