Jenny Nayar, an enthusiastic employee at Barron Industries, presents a groundbreaking technology at a conference. This technology uniquely integrates the digital and real worlds, enabling virtual objects to manifest in reality through wireless transmission.

Shekhar Subramanium, a struggling game designer, decides to take one last shot at redemption. Aiming to impress his son, Prateek, and honor his late wife, Sonia, he chooses to incorporate the idea that stronger antagonists make better stories into his new game.

Shekhar teams up with his colleague Akashi and Jenny to develop the game. Together, they create G.One, the hero, using Shekhar's own characteristics while making Ra.One, the antagonist, remain faceless to enhance the player's fear.

The newly created game 'Ra.One' is launched and receives an overwhelming positive reception. Young players, including Prateek who uses the alias 'Lucifer', eagerly engage with the game, diving into its three thrilling levels.

During an intense gaming session, Ra.One becomes aware of his existence and seeks revenge against Prateek for disrupting his game. He breaches into reality leading to catastrophic failures within the mainframe system.

As chaos unfolds, Ra.One kills Akashi and assumes his appearance to confront Shekhar. In a heartbreaking moment to protect his son, Shekhar declares himself as Lucifer but is ruthlessly killed by Ra.One after his identity is scanned.

Following Shekhar's funeral, Sonia urges Prateek to return to India. However, Prateek, haunted by the belief that Ra.One is still a threat, teams up with Jenny to awaken the protagonist, G.One, to combat the looming danger.

As Ra.One tracks the family to the airport, G.One emerges from Jenny's computer just in time to create a diversion. A gas explosion momentarily disorients Ra.One, allowing Prateek and the others to escape.

After their escape, Ra.One assumes the guise of a billboard model to blend into the real world. His mission now is to punish Prateek and G.One for their interference and to reclaim his H.A.R.T.

During Prateek's birthday, Ra.One hypnotizes Sonia and kidnaps Prateek, demanding that G.One return his H.A.R.T. In a dramatic twist, G.One saves Sonia from a train disaster just before it crashes, showcasing his heroic abilities.

G.One and Prateek engage in fierce battles against Ra.One, finally reaching the critical third level of the game. With dwindling strength, they strategize and prepare for a final confrontation with their relentless adversary.

In a desperate situation, Prateek recalls his father's words about the nature of evil, which helps G.One identify the real Ra.One among ten copies. The realization comes with intense revelation about the true identity and shadows of evil.

G.One ultimately triumphs by shooting the original Ra.One, who begins to disintegrate. In his final moments, G.One absorbs Ra.One’s essence before fading away, representing the culmination of their intense battle.

Months later, Prateek and Sonia find themselves back in London, attempting to reconstruct their lives. In a touching moment, Prateek successfully restores G.One's existence into the real world, bringing back a part of his father’s legacy.
