Pushpaka Vimana

An unemployed graduate living in a ramshackle lodge at Anand Bhavan dreams of wealth. He flaunts his meagre possessions in front of a roadside beggar and is humbled when he learns the beggar has accumulated more money. The encounter plants the seed of envy and dissatisfaction that drives his later choices.

While window shopping, he meets a young woman trying on earrings. He offers fashion advice unasked, foreshadowing his urge to claim influence over others.

He spots the same woman again while waiting in line to apply for vacancies. She mistakes the expensive car he leans on for belonging to him, and he goes along with the illusion. He later discovers that she is wearing the earrings he suggested.

One night, a drunk rich man is found unconscious by the roadside. The graduate uses the key to the Pushpak hotel suite to abduct him and imprison the man in the Anand Bhavan room. He then moves into the rich man's Pushpak suite to live as him.

The rich man's wife has an extramarital affair with his friend, who hires a contract killer to kill the rich man without her knowledge. The friend passes money and only the suite number to the killer. The killer stakes out the Pushpak suite and begins watching for his target.

The killer stakes out the Pushpak suite and mistakes the graduate for his target. The graduate remains unaware of the looming threat and continues living the luxe life at Pushpak. The danger hangs over him as the killer plots in the shadows.

The graduate discovers the same young woman is in a suite opposite his balcony; she is the magician's daughter performing at the hotel. They share a budding connection after a rocky start. The pair begin to mend their relationship.

At a buffet counter, she slaps him, mistaking him for pranking her. She later learns the prank was done by a young boy and feels ashamed. They mend ways and grow closer as they attend the hotel owner's funeral together.

A montage shows the hotel owner was once poor and rose to wealth by fair means. The graduate glimpses this transformation and begins to rethink his actions. The moment sparks his decision to change.

The roadside beggar dies, and municipal workers arrive to remove the body. They discover the beggar's stash and quarrel over the money, illustrating the corrupt aftermath of poverty. The graduate decides to end his deceit after this sight.

The graduate frees the rich man and explains the situation in a letter. The rich man and his wife reconcile, and the husband gives up drinking. This marks a turning point away from deceit.

The graduate writes a confession to the magician's daughter through a letter. He learns her family is about to leave Pushpak, and she forgives him. As they depart, she drops a rose-wrapped note from the car window while the wind scatters it.

Back in the job line, the graduate is shown waiting again to apply for vacancies. He carries the lessons learned and hopes for a steadier future.
