Kumbalangi Nights

Their father dies in the family, and their mother leaves to join a religious mission. Saji is left to run the house and look after his three brothers from a dilapidated home in Kumbalangi. The balance shifts as Saji takes on responsibility and tries to keep the family together.

Saji struggles with anger management, which leads to regular fights with Bobby. The tension between the brothers adds strain to life in their small home. Bobby, meanwhile, tries to navigate the situation and keep hope alive.

Bobby begins a romance with Baby, a girl who lives nearby. They go to Shammi to ask for permission, but Shammi ridicules the family's reputation. Saji consoles Bobby and urges him to get a job to prove himself.

Bonny starts dating Nylah, an American tourist staying at the homestay run by Baby's family. The relationship adds new energy to the house and shifts its dynamics.

A fight erupts between Saji and Franky, highlighting the house's growing tensions. Bonny, protective of Franky, hits Saji, prompting him to leave the house. He spends time drinking with his friend Vijay, and in a drunken moment he tries to commit suicide; Vijay dies saving him.

In a moment of remorse, Saji visits Vijay's house to apologize and finds Sathi in labour. He rushes her to the hospital, where she gives birth to a baby girl. After the birth, Saji brings Sathi and her daughter to his own house to care for them.

Bonny brings Nylah home after Shammi had removed her from the homestay for inviting Bonny there. Franky is pleased to have two women in the house, which gives the family a sense of normalcy. Bobby even suggests taking Bonny out to see the sea sparkle at night to brighten their love lives.

Saji returns to Shammi to ask him to reconsider his stance on Baby and Bobby's engagement. Shammi stubbornly refuses to approve the marriage, maintaining control over the couple's fate. The family starts to feel the weight of Shammi's authority over their lives.

Baby resolves to elope with Bobby, hoping for a togetherness outside Shammi's control. Shammi discovers the plan, turns abusive, and imprisons Baby, her sister, and their mother in their own home. The threat to the women's safety escalates dramatically.

Bobby's brothers join the effort and travel to Baby's house to help. They corner Shammi with a fishing net and free Baby, her sister, and their mother from captivity. The family unites to reclaim their women from Shammi's abuse.

With Shammi thwarted and the crisis resolved, Bobby and Baby are finally reunited and get married. The wedding marks a hopeful new chapter for the family in Kumbalangi.
