Sundar Anand Deverakonda, a recently married teacher, hopes for a blissful life with his wife Meenakshi Geeth Saini, but her sudden elopement with someone else shatters him. Feeling humiliated, he conceals the truth from neighbors and colleagues and quietly searches for her, questioning Meenakshi’s parents and friends to no avail.

To greet the newly married couple, Sundar’s colleagues hire an actress Rekha Saanve Meghana to pretend to be his wife. They manage to pull the ruse off, though a noisy neighbor creates some hiccups. The headmaster of the school notices Rekha smoking with her friends and informs Sundar, while someone from the staff arranges to buy a new HD TV so that he can use the occasion to counsel Rekha.

While flipping through channels, Sundar sees the news of Meenakshi’s death. He goes to the mortuary to identify the body and then meets SI Rangam Sunil Varma, who immediately suspects Sundar as the culprit. Rangam’s investigation uncovers blood stains in Sundar’s house, which are later revealed to belong to Meenakshi. Sundar struggles to prove that Meenakshi left him due to his earlier lies, and Rangam grows suspicious of Rekha as a potential accomplice. During the formal interrogation, Sundar reveals the actual reason Meenakshi left him.

On their first night together, Sundar asks Meenakshi about her virginity, an question that angers her. He apologizes, but she remains unresponsive. The tension escalates when he tries to strike Meenakshi after she insults his father, prompting her to return to her former boyfriend’s house. The postmortem later reveals that Meenakshi died on the 10th of the month, and Sundar provides a partial alibi for that date, which leads to his provisional release.

Meanwhile, a neighbor who is an aspiring musician consoles Sundar, claiming he composed his career’s best music on the day of the tragedy and could not move from his chair. Rangam questions Meenakshi’s ex-boyfriend and learns that she had left him after a major quarrel. The police close in on Sundar, but he escapes. While on the run, he discovers that Meenakshi had stayed with a friend he had previously visited. He hurries to her house and learns that she planned to return to him on the day of her death. In a final twist, the investigation reveals that the neighbor attempted to assault Meenakshi and, in a fatal mistake, killed her. Rangam takes credit for solving the case, and the film closes on a note of cautious hope as Sundar tries to move forward with his life.
