A pair of homicide detectives, Regina Lewis and Eric Masterson, are assigned to the case and begin their investigation. Mateo abducts Paul's pregnant wife Taryn to force Paul into helping him. The kidnapping raises the stakes and tightens the noose around Abe and Paul. They must navigate loyalty, debt, and desperation to protect Taryn.

During the confrontation, Lewis eliminates Masterson and Cheetah to consolidate control. Paul takes advantage of the distraction and kills Jones, removing another threat in the chaos. The body count rises as everyone fights for their survival.

Abe and Paul reach the rendezvous only to find Mateo mortally wounded. Lewis threatens them, holding Taryn hostage as the situation spirals toward a violent showdown. The balance of loyalties teeters as time runs out.

Abe arranges a deal with gangster Big D to obtain incriminating security footage. Big D stages a distraction outside the police precinct to aid their plan and to capture footage for a movie he's developing. Abe uses the leverage to expose Lewis's corruption on television, tying multiple threads together.

Disguised as first responders, Paul and Abe incapacitate Lewis and rescue Taryn, who is in labor. She gives birth to their baby boy, Matty, named in Mateo's memory. Police reinforcements arrive and Lewis is killed after her corruption is exposed on the news.

One year later, Paul and Taryn celebrate Matty's first birthday. Abe smiles at a picture of Matty's cake as a black SUV tails him toward a sunset leaving the future uncertain but hopeful for the family. The ending ties the personal victory to a fragile peace.
